Ben's Birthday and King Tut

Ben turned 1 this past Wednesday! We had fun celebrating all week, starting with Ben's grandparents in Utah and ending with his other grandparents this weekend here! While Ben hung out with his grandparents this weekend, Jason and I were able to go to the King Tut exhibit at the De Young Museum. It was really interesting and we learned a lot. We can't believe how fast this year has gone by. It has been so fun and we're so grateful for the good boy Ben is! We're looking forward to another great year with him.

Ben's first party in Utah on New Year's Day. (Grandpa's still wearing his party hat from the new year's popper!) That cake was so good and Ben loves his BYU bat and ball.

He got a BYU hat and jersey too from his great grandpa to complete the look. He had to try it out right then.

I think its a home run!

Ben's real birthday with cake #2. We went with the baseball theme after his new love for hitting balls (or anything) with his BYU bat.

Going in for the first bite. We thought we'd see how he did with a fork.

I think he liked it...or at least flicking it all over.

He looks ready for more.

Opening the big gift this year.

"Helping" dad put it together.

Ready for a ride. His feet ALMOST touch. :) Hopefully soon.

We couldn't take any pictures of the real artifacts so this is the closest we could get.
