Art Appreciation

We went to free day at the De Young Museum of Art today. We had a great time exploring all the exhibits and going up to the observation tower for a great view of the whole city!

We were surprised when we notice we had done it all in way under an hour!

Guess we need to work on our art appreciation skills and try to study the pieces a little more seriously next time. :)

The best part was watching Ben check out all the art. He is at such a curious age and he loved looking at all the new and interesting things in the museum. Although, I think he was most excited about the elevator!

Ben's face would look great as impressionism art! What do you think?

See the resemblance between these three?

Notice how much Ben loves his pamphlet?

We are planning to let Ben make his own wall size splatter art painting like this for his room!

My favorite exhibit there is the blown glass. What's cooler than huge glass fruit? So shiny!

There was a new textile exhibit today, too. Isn't this jacket so fun!?

Hey, we went today too :) Lily didn't quite appreciate the art, but sure liked that ALL of the rooms echoed when she would talk. I bet all of the serious art goers were super glad we were there :)
