Sweet 16

I was lucky enough to fly home last week to be with my whole family for a few days and help celebrate my little sister Kelly's 16th birthday! We threw her a winter luau and it was a huge hit! Ben even managed to talk me into let him stay up for most of it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY!

Jason and I made the invites!

Hanging out with Aunt Karen at the beach.

Themed food: Mango salsa, gold fish, Swedish fish, coconut chocolate-chip bars, Hawaiian Maui Chips, Hawaiian pizza, and tropical dried fruit.

Kevin and Karen approving the food.

Ben couldn't get enough of the "spicy" punch. Hawaiian punch and 7up make a delicious combo. This is Ben on cup #3.

Check out my edible table arrangement. They were the first thing to go!

Kelly and her friend catching a wave.

What's a party without a huge pinata?

Sunflower cake, minus a few Twinkies that got eaten a little early!

Ben helped do the honors of blowing out the candles.

Kevin and Karen chaperoning all the 16 year olds.

Don't worry we didn't forget to feed Ben.

Avoiding bedtime with Grandpa.

And no party would be complete without a lovely favor! You can't beat these delicious homemade chocolate dipped Oreo's on a stick! :)

i love the table arranging. You did a great job! Is Karen dating Jason's brother? So cool you got to be there for Kelly's birthday. I bet she loved having Ben (and you) there.
